04 May New Website Launched

Texas High School Basketball Officials Association (THSBOA) is inviting officials to explore its new website. The new website has been designed to provide the user-friendly experience with improved navigation and functionality throughout, allowing officials to access information from a single point of reference.

May 4, 2016
Austin, TX – The new website of THSBOA goes live today and aims to extend the reach of all THSBOA programs. The new website was created with the user experience firmly in mind. The website has been designed using the latest technology so the site is compatible with today’s browsers and mobile devices. The design incorporates bold colors and graphics and completely new navigational tools.
Kelly Copeland, Immediate Past Executive Chair of THSBOA, led the development of the website. He commented:
“Considerable thought has gone into the design of our web presence so that our officials can find information quickly.”

“Although a great website and one with which we are very pleased, webpages alone will never deliver all the information that officials need. This new website simply starts the process and guides officials to more detailed information.”
THSBOA has developed the new website over the past year, working with our web developer and officials to better support the organization’s mission.
The Texas High School Basketball Officials Association (THSBOA) consists of 29 local basketball officiating chapters located throughout the State of Texas with a membership of about 5,000 officials. Each chapter has a representative that sits on the Board of Directors of the THSBOA.
The mission of the THSBOA is to aid in the education and development of officials through local THSBOA chapters; to identify problem areas and offer positive solutions; upgrade programs of the local chapters; and enhance communications among the University Interscholastic League (UIL), local chapters and UIL member schools. The UIL and the THSBOA will work together with the schools and coaches to provide the best education possible for students through athletics.
